Long Time

I know that everyone thinks that I dropped off the side of the earth since I haven't blogged in a long time. But I haven't. I've been really busy and sick.

Alot has been going on lately. There has been some sick folks in our family. I found out Monday that my brother has viral minigius (I have not a clue how to spell this and spell check didn't pick it up so I was way off). I talked to him today and he is doing a little better but will have to be off work for another week. His birthday is Friday so that isn't a good way to have to spend your b'day. I've been struggling with sinus/allergies since October. I went to the doctor for the third time since the middle of Oct. This last time the doctor told me that I needed to find out what I was allergic to and get rid of it. After lots of thought, I told him the only thing that I thought had changed with me is that we moved in with my mother-in-law (basement). He said that was it. Mold and mildew and it is too cold to open the windows. I told him that was just too bad I had another year to live with her. We had all hardwood floors in our first house and there is carpet in this basement apartment. I'm allergic to everything but dogs so go figure. I just have to keep a fire lit under Randal to get started on that house. I feel better today, the two shots and steroids that I'm taking has really dried me up. But I feel like I have cotton mouth and nothing tastes good. I have 8 more days to take this stuff. I'm not going to get to enjoy the goodies at Christmas. I've already lost 4 pounds since Monday. Not the way I wanted to but I will take it. I'm going to have to make myself eat the goodies (ok maybe not make but I thought it sounded good so I said it). Randal has been sick since he took the flu shot last week but he is at the hunting club anyway. He is having a good hunting season. He has already killed 4 does and a buck. I don't think I will be able to caught up with him. I'm not going hunting again until the day after Christmas but I will be hunting until New Years so I'm going to give it my best shot while I'm there to catch up.

Two weeks ago I went hunting and missed a big eight point. I was sick. I had watched this buck for an hour and I took my safety off too soon and my finger accidentally hit the trigger and the gun went off. Even though it was in the direction of the buck, I missed. I'm going to look for him again when I go down next week. You know that is the 3 one that I have missed. I might need to go practice a bit you think? Nah I'm usually a good shot just got to excited to see something.

We had are department Christmas party at one of the girls house on the 7th. It was fun. We ate and played dirty Santa with gift cards. We played games and at a great time. We did Christmas with his dad last Saturday. I have pictures of all this but my wonderful husband has the camera with him and he is always at that hunting club. I will have to post this weekend. The only reason I say that is because he is working the weekend so the camera will be here. Bless his sweet heart he has to work this Friday thur Christmas day. 14 hour shifts each day. This is his weekend and holiday to work. He is going to be one ill person to be around. Tis the season! We are going to do our Christmas with my parents on Christmas Eve before he goes to work and then with his mother and sisters on Christmas. I will be fat as a cow by the time the 26th comes. We have been having all kinds of goodies sent to us at work and I'm trying not to indulge.

I've been trying to spend a little more time with my maw maw this week since she will be going to my cousins for Christmas and I won't get to see her (they don't have anything to do me, Mom and Dad, I'm not really sure I understand why but its a long story that just needs to be prayed about) but I see that I'm probably running off at the mouth too much now you are probably bored by now. Sorry - that is what happens when you haven't blogged for awhile.

Saturday morning me and my mother-in-law are going to do some Christmas goodies baking. It used to be me, my mother-in-law and two sister-in-laws baking but that has faded away the last few years and I told my mother-in-law that I wanted to do some baking even if it was just me and her. So we are going to spend some time in the kitchen Saturday baking. I'm so excited. I love peanut butter balls.

I have to work 1/2 on Christmas Eve but then I an off until the 2nd so I'm really looking forward to that. Hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Years and please be safe. Hope everyone has been nice this year and gets what they wished for.
