This Week's Updates

Friday some of my close friends and I had our Christmas lunch to exchange gifts. I have worked with some of these people for over 18 years. We ate at the Mariachi Grill in Vestavia (very good Mexican place). Friday's you get your drink free. I'm all about getting something free. We had a great time. Deb gave me a camouflage purse. I will have to take it hunting next week. The picture above are Karen, Keva, Reba, Me, Stacey and Debbie. I actually work with Reba, Stacey and Keva but used to work with the other two at another company.

Brenda Madison and I played cards with Mom and Dad last night and we beat their socks off. We beat them 3 out of 4 games of hand and foot. I just love that game.

Today, me and my mother-in-law got up and did our Christmas baking for about 3 hours. It was lots of fun. I love to cook. We ate a big breakfast (well she and Randal did but I don't have much of an appetite and nausea taking this medicine for this crude I have) We were really surprised that we didn't eat any of the candy while we were making it. Ijust about broke my thumb in the mixer beaters. I got it caught in the beaters (don't even ask how). It put a big gash on my thumb and it really did hurt too. We only tasted a bit of the fudge. After baking, we got ready and went to the Galleria. What a mess that is. I don't know what we were thinking. Randal and I are getting her a vacuum cleaner for X'mas so I went to take her to pick it out. The traffic was awful. I didn't think I would ever find a parking place. We actually did good time shopping. I'm so exhausted, after we got back, we dipped the peanut butter balls and called it a day. I'm going to bed after I post this.

Sunday after church we are going to two boarding homes to deliver our gifts to them. I"m excited, this will be my first year to go.

I have to work 1/2 Monday but then I will be gone hunting until the 1st of January. I can't wait to get me another big buck like I did last year. Randal has already killed 5 deer this year. I'm going to make us some deer chili at the hunting club to eat this week. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Years'.
