Doctors Appointment
Well, I went back to the doctor today. What a day to go, the day after a long holiday weekend of eating. I gained 6 pounds since my last visit, 4 weeks ago. I asked the doctor about the weight I had gained and she said that everything was doing fine that was good. My regular doctor wasn't there today so I had to see another one and let me just tell you, I wasn't the least bit impressed with her. She was only in the room for 2 minutes, just said everything was going well and that I would have my ultrasound in 4 weeks. I got my second trimester blood work done today too. If it comes back negative, I won't have to have anymore screening for downs. Please keep us in your prayers that we have a negative result and our precious baby is doing fine in there and growing and developing like it should. The doctor said everything was going well, I got to hear the heartbeat again. They are making me wait 4 more weeks until we can find out what we are having. If my regular doctor would have been there, I would have begged for 2 weeks instead of 4. So we will find out the sex of the baby on Tuesday, June 24th at 8:30. Let's just pray that it isn't a shy baby and reveals to us what it is. I'm going to drink me a mountain dew or some orange juice before I go to the doctor that morning.

yep... it's frustrating sometimes when they whisk you in and out, but at least it means everything is going good. only 4 more weeks!
We will definitely keep the prayers coming. In the mean time, don't worry about the short doctors visits. As long as they are short everything is good, so hope for short for the next 25 weeks. I would be shocked if we have been in the room with a doctor for more than 5 minutes during any of our visits during this pregnancy. Teale and I quickly learned that the 30-45 minute visits with a doctor never amounted to good news.

The short doctors visits used to drive me crazy too!! ....but like everyone else has said that just means everything is fine!!!! I can't wait to find out what the baby is....I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

I agree with everyone else. The short visits are frustrating but only means good news. I hate when you have to wait in the waiting room for an hour and then see the doctor 5 minutes. :0)
