Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! CG and I went to our yearly church New Years Eve Singing last night and sang until about 10 pm then went downstairs and ate finger foods, didn't stay until midnight because of CG. She didn't even fall asleep on the way home ( I guess it must have been that chocolate chip cookie she ate that Nana gave her). She didn't go do sleep until 11:45. We did take a 2 hour nap earlier that day.
Had a wonderful New Years Day worshiping. After church this morning, had the good lunch with pork and blackeye peas. I just knew CG would take a nap with me since she stayed up late last night but NO she wanted to play with Nana. So I let her and I took a 2 hour nap. Good thing she got to play outside today with Nana, because it is suppose to be cold this next week and we will be stuck inside.
After church tonight, CG wanted to go to McDonald's and eat inside. So we went and ate, she feel asleep on the way home so she went to bed tonight at 7:30.
I always make New Years Resolutions and most of the time, I don't go thru with them. I didn't last year but the year before I did. I said I was going to ready the bible all the way thru in a year and I did but I didn't do that last year. I'm ashamed to say that I didn't read my bible near as much as I should. That is my resolution this year is to draw closer to God and focus on being a better Wife, Mother and first and most of all a better Christian Woman. God has blessed my life so much, especially this past year, giving me the opportunity to be at home full time with my daugther. I want to be a better Christian so that I can teach and raise Caylee-Grace to be one too. I need to be a better example to her. She is so smart and loves to sing bible songs and has already learned to bible memory verses.
Hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed 2012. Lets focus on why we are here, to prepare a place in Heaven for us one day if we are found faithful. This world is not our home, we are just passing through. We need to prepare and live our lives for Jesus so we can be with him in Heaven one day. I'm starting a new devotional book tonight called "I Grow". I'm excited to start the New Year studying and meditating on Gods Word. Just 15 minutes of quality time with God is going to change my life. I should have the whole bible read by end of the year and a closer relationship with my Savior.
