Update on Stay at Home Mom and Wife

Well it is 3:41 a.m. and I can't sleep, so I decided to update the blog. I've been a stay at home mom and wife now for almost two weeks. Let me just say I love spending every minute with my precious Caylee-Grace but I'm not stay at home material. The part-time job was ideal for me. I got the adult time and the baby time. Of course, I'm getting to where I like to be able to keep a clean house and able to spend more time with my hubby. I've managed to clean Caylee-Graces closet out, next is tackling all her clothes she has outgrown, clean my closet out and organize it. Much need to update her baby book too. Randal is such a wonderful husband, supporter, my best friend and the best father to our 2 year old Caylee-Grace. Some days I hope I never find another job so I can just stay home and be the wife and mommy I need to be - then other days I can't wait to find something to get out of the house just even 2 days a week. I think Randal has gotten spoiled to me having him breakfast fixed every morning. I love to cook and now I get to do it more.

I started out trying to get Caylee-Grace potty trained, but she was not having no part of it so after 2 days, I gave up and will try again next month. I know she is ready because she tells me when she goes. I can say that I accomplished getting her to sleep in her bed all night. I have managed to read my bible more too, which is something I have needed to do for so long.

I've been on a diet since Jan. 3rd, lost 5 pounds. I remind you I gained 8 pounds during all those holidays. Went to the doctor last week and I had gained 8 pounds in 6 months. Of course that is the first thing the doctor notices and tells me I need to work on my weight. So now I have to kick it up a notch and get in better shape and eat even better. I took myself off sweet tea and anyone that knows me, knows that I LOVE sweet tea. I didn't have any sweets for 3 weeks. Cheated 1 day - and it wasn't even a splurge, and I gain 3 pounds. Go figure. Women fluctuate so much it isn't even funny.

Ok I'm just babbling on now - sorry to bore you but it is 3:51 in the morning and I can't sleep so I'm just venting here.

Randal and I have our 11th anniversary coming up on Feb.4th. We were going to go to Gatlinburg for a few days without Caylee-Grace, but since I lost my job, we decided not to spend the money and just get a baby-sitter and go out to eat. I'm so looking forward to that day. We are going to AllSteak in Cullman. I may even talk him into going to a movie.

Yum! I love AllSteak! Those orange rolls are worth the trip! Sometimes I long for adult interaction too (especially with Chad not being around as much). I know CG loves having you home. This is precious time you will never get back with her.
