No More Bottle :(

Well Sunday was the last time my baby girl had her bottle. I decided to take it away Monday and it started out bad but it has improved each day. The first day she wouldn't have anything to do with drinking milk in a sippy cup. She does fine drinking her juice out of it but NO milk. The second day she drank about 4 oz out of her cup and then the 3rd day I'm excited to say she drank 6 ozs. I think she has finally realized that the bottle isn't coming back. Bless her heart! She really hasn't fused to much for it but she will go to the kitchen and look around for it. Yesterday my mother-in-law rinsed her juice out of it and put milk in it and gave it to her and she turned it up and once she realized it was milk she spit it all out and made a big mess. Little Stinker. She was determined to prove to us she wasn't drinking milk out of a sippy cup but she is now much better. I really think that she will be 100% better by end of the weekend. I thought she would start waking up in the middle of the night but she hasn't.

Next hurdle will be getting rid of the pacifier but I'm not ready for that journey yet. That one will be a little harder because she LOVES her pacifiers.

Hope everyone is having a great week. I'm really enjoying my Wii Fit Plus. I'm down 6 1/2 pounds and a couple of inches. Feeling good. Mother got me the New Testament on CD so I've started listening to them in the morning going to work which is a great start for the day. Spiritual time it wonderful before a days work.

All these milestones are so bittersweet. She's getting to be such a big girl.

I hate she is having a hard time but I hope it gets better. Way to go on the weight loss and glad about your CDs. That is awesome!

I know it can't be easy taking away something she enjoys, but kudos to you for sticking to it and not caving in. Good luck on the pacifiers. Maybe you can dip them in something that won't taste so lovely and maybe she will spit it out and not want it after a while.

Congratulations on the weight loss. Proud of you.

Such a big girl! It's funny how we stress over these little things and they seem to "get it" in just a few days time... then it's on to the next thing! Good luck with taking away the paci. Harper never really cared for one after a couple of months old so we got lucky with that. Our babies are growing so fast!
