Hunting Trip

Happy New Year to Everyone!

Well I have had a great hunting season this year. Been at the hunting club all week. I killed a doe the week of Thanksgiving and this week I killed a doe (100 lb) and an 8 point (168 lbs 16 1/2 to 17 wide spread). If I don't get anything else this year, I will be pleased. It has been 3 years since I killed a buck. I have to say it wasn't bigger then the 10 pt I killed but it was a nice buck.

Caylee-Grace did fine staying away from us Monday and Tuesday but she was so excited to see me when I picked her up on Wednesday. I actually did better then I thought. I only shed a tear or two when I left her. She had a great time with her Nana, Paw Paw and Grandmother but I think she was glad to finally get back with Mommy and Daddy. She has been really clingy since she got back - every time we put her in the car seat she starts fussing, she probably thinks she is going away again and we are leaving her. Bless her little heart.

I've enjoyed being off the last 8 days but will have to head back to work on Monday. I'm just thankful for my job so I'm NEVER going to complain about having to go to work. I don't like to but have to and LOVE my co-workers. It has been so slow lately and hard to stay busy but like I said I'm just thankful to have one.

Bless my precious hubby's heart. He had to work tonight and is on call this weekend and just got a call from him that someone called in so he has to work the WHOLE weekend. He has to work his regular schedule which is Mon-Wed next week so that will make him working 6 days straight at 14 hour shifts. I know he hates his job but he should be like me and be thankful he has one (and honey we do need the money especially this month). I love him so much. He is such a wonderful husband and father. He works so hard for this family and I'm so thankful for that too. Please say a little pray for him. He really needs it right now. Wished he could find him another job that he could be happy at. Look at the bright side honey, you probably wouldn't get to hunt as much as you do if you had some other kind of job.

So sorry to babble so long. Hope everyone has had a great holiday. Happy New Year and I wish everyone a blessed and prosperous year.

I have a few New Years Resolutions. My first being is to work harder on my spiritual life. I want to get closer to the Lord and be a better person, wife, mother and friend. I don't think I've done the best I could this past year so I'm going to work on that. Next, I want to lose a few pounds and get back in shape.

Way to go on the deer. If you have any extra meat, you know where to send it!! I will keep you in my prayers this coming year that you are happy and healthy and reach all of your goals!
