Well not much been going on with the Chappells. Caylee-Grace had squash last night and she liked it too. I've still been trying to wean her from swaddling her. I put her down last night not swaddled and she was up crying 3 times within 2 hours. So I swaddled her. I guess it is just going to take time. Today my friend Keva and I went to take her grandkids and Caylee-Grace to visit our friend Deb who had the stroke a few months ago. I haven't seen her since December. We had a great visit. We went to eat Mexican and back to her house for a little while. She is doing much better. She still has a long way to go but is still doing therapy and is continuing to improve. Well I'm excited to post that my WONDERFUL husband has graciously decided to let me work just part time. I am so excited but scared to death at the same time that we won't be able to make it but I'm going to pray hard about it everyday and try to cut back as much as possible (If I could stay out of Walmart that would be a good start)so we won't struggle. Maybe Randal could do all the shopping What do you think about that honey? Hopefully it will begin in mid June. Sadly though I will have to change departments at work and I'm not liking that, hopefully I will loke it if not I will go another direction. I love the people I work with now and have worked with them so long they are like family. As soon as they get someone hired and I get them trained, I will make the transition. I'm hoping to either work Mon- Wed or Tue - Thur and have 4 days off in a roll. You just don't know how happy I am going to be to be able to spend more time with Caylee-Grace and get more rest and time with Randal too. I stay so tired and emotional right now it worrys me. I think if I got a little more exercise, I might feel better too. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful thoughtful husband that wants me to be happy. I couldn't have asked for a better husband and best friend. He has made me the happiest woman giving me such a great life and this precious baby girl. Please keep us in your prayers that this will be the right decision and that we will be able to make it just me working part-time.
Below is a video that Randal took with him and her playing in the floor on her mat
That video was too cute. She has her daddy wrapped around her little finger already!
If you are having trouble transitioning to not swaddling, you definitely need to try a sleep sack. Or... you could try still putting her in the swaddle but velcro-ing it together under her arm pits, so her arms are out. You could even start with leaving one arm out for a while, then two...
I'm so glad you get to go part time! We will have to have some little outings on the days you don't have to work. And if you want to save some money I recommend using coupons combined with what's on sale... this has helped us out a lot. Congrats!
hi there. when transitioning from the swaddle we got a Peke Moe sleep sack from NZ it worked immediately for our little girl (she had been in a miracle blanket till then adn slept through the night.. until she started escaping from it) http://www.pekemoe.co.nz all the best!
Belinda, I am so happy for you that you are getting to go part-time. Hang in there with the swaddling. Had to wean both of my from it, but eventually they wiggled out themselves and got used to sleeping without it.

I am so thrilled you are finally getting to do what you've always dreamed of.
That video is precious. She's a daddy's girl, for sure!
