What is Sleep?

I'm finally back and able to post myself. A big thanks to Teale for helping me out on blogging about Caylee-Grace while I was in the hospital. We never could get Internet service so I'm just now getting to blog.

Just a little about labor. Let me just tell you that the best thing that happened to me last Wednesday was getting that epidural. Thank the good Lord for that stuff. I don't know how anyone can have a baby natural without an epidural. I thought it wouldn't be so bad but I got to get mine by 2 centimeters. I have a wonderful doctor. I'm just glad everything is over and the end results is my precious healthy baby girl Caylee -Grace. She is so precious. I think she looks like Randal.

We got to come home yesterday. Last night was rough. I think we might have got 3 hours sleep if that. She feed good but didn't want to go to sleep. She slept most of the day and I had a hard time getting her to eat during the day so that might have something to do with it and being in new surroundings too. I had pumped some milk so after being up with her most of the night, Randal woke up and took her and told me to go get some sleep about 4:45. Next thing I heard was snoring. I went into the living room and both him and Caylee-Grace was asleep in the recliner. It was so cute. You can see in the picture how cute. They slept in the recliner from 5-7:30 until I woke up and came in and got her to feed. He said "She just wanted to sleep with her Daddy". Yes well that might have been the case. I'm hoping tonight will be a better night. She has feed good today and I even got a 45 minute nap in today, let me just say "Wow" never thought how great a 45 minute nap made me feel. I'm so thankful that breastfeeding is going well. I was worried about it but it seems to be getting better.

I feeling better good considering all the surgery I had to go thru. I go back Wednesday to get my staples and catheter out. Caylee-Grace also goes to the Pediatrician that morning before my doctors appointment, so that will be a long day for us. She is such a bundle of joy.

Thanks so much to everyone for the prayers, support, food brought and concerns. I'm so blessed to have such good family and friends for support. Ya'll are the best.

Don't worry, the sleep gets better....or you get used to it. I don't know if I've figured that one out yet. :)

I was going to leave the same comment Chad did... you start to feel more rested but really I think you just get used to less sleep. Either way, it's worth it. I am so happy nursing is going so well for you two. You will love having that special bonding time with her. The pictures are so sweet, she is so cute. It looks like Randal is using that burp cloth to catch his own drool instead of Caylee-Grace's. :)
