Sorry it has been so long since I've posted. I have lots to post about. I will only be brief right now. We don't have Internet yet at home. Hope to by end of week or so. I can blog from work but not download pictures, so I'm going to let you in on some things that have been going on and then post pictures later.
Saturday we went to our Preparing for Parenthood class at St. Vincent from 8:30-4:30 which was very informational. We both enjoyed it and think we learned alot. Randal learned how to change a diaper (because you know he is going to be the diaper changer most of the time since I"m going to be doing the feeding (breastfed I hope)) It was so funny, the lady told all the Dad's to go over and get a baby doll, diaper and diaper. Randal went over and brought the baby doll back by its feet with its head hanging down. I said " I sure hope you don't carry Caylee Grace around like that". He said this isn't a real baby and I said I know but you need to act like it is for practice. He is so funny. After class we went off looking for a sofa. We found one at Sticks N Stuff we liked. After we got home that night Crystal had called and said that her, Teale and Erin had made me a door decoration for the hospital that they wanted to bring over so I said come on. Oh it is so pretty. They did a great job. Ya'll will have to wait for a post on that when Caylee Grace gets here. It is precious.
Sunday, we went and did some running around after church. We went and ate a the Main Street Cafe in Gardendale and headed for Lowes', Sticks N Stuff and Walmart for much needed items for the house to finish things up. Needless to say, I didn't get a nap.
I was off yesterday. I got up and met my friend Denise at her church near the house to take a little walk. We walked for almost an hour and I headed back to the house for some catching up in Caylee Graces room. Randal headed to pick up the sofa and get another blind for the kitchen door. Peggy Rivers from church came over to bring the bassinet that she is letting us borrow. She got there at 10 something and was just going to drop it off but ended up staying until 4pm. We go so much done in Caylee Graces' room. We got all her things put up, the pack and play together, the swing together and got it all organized. Only thing we like for her room is her dresser and my Dad has to paint it when they get back from Colorado next week so I can get the rest of her clothes and other stuff in there. It looks great. I will post pictures soon. Mother and Dad are in Colorado visiting my brother until the 28th and my mother-in-law is in Atlantic City in another Miss Senior Miss America Pageant and she won't be back until Sunday so we have told Caylee Grace that she MUST stay put at least another 8 or so days. That would be awful to have no grandparents here for her big Day.
I go to the doctor in the morning at 8:30 so I will be post tomorrow if I have time. Hope everyone is having a great start to the week. I will post more later.
