I'm a little late on posting about my first doctors appointment but I've been busy and too tired to do anything else beside work and sleep. I went to the doctor on Wednesday. My appointment was at 9:45, I didn't get to see him until 12 noon because he got called twice to labor and delivery. That was the longest visit and wait ever. Randal was so upset in having to wait. He has no patience what so ever. I got my normal yearly pap smear and examination and blood work. They told me my due date was 11-13 but in two weeks I go for my first ultrasound that will confirm that date. I'm hoping to be able to hear the heartbeat then. I've been so excited and still am a little in shock and can't believe it has finally happened. I had taken 3 pregnancy test before I had gotten to the doctors office. Two last Saturday and one Wednesday morning. When the nurse took me back to go over my information she said "Congratulations" I said I know I can't believe it. I took three test and she said "Well the fourth test is positive too". We just laughed. Randal hasn't been as excited as I have or for that much hasn't even said anything about it. I'm praying that he is just shocked or scared to death and will come around soon. I haven't been sick yet but I've been told that if I do it will probably be in a week or two when it starts. I've been nauseated a few times but I've noticed that if I keep something in my stomach, I'm fine.
I go back on March 25 at 2pm to get my first ultrasound. I can hardly wait. Please keep us in your prayers that everything will go as scheduled and have a healthy pregnancy. Since I'm older (38) I will have to have some test run to check for down syndrome. That will probably be in weeks 11 and 18. I've only been walking since I've found out. The doctor said that I could do all the exercise that I've been doing as long as I drink alot of water and keep my heart rate under 140. But I'm scared to death - after waiting this long for this, I don't want to mess anything up so I think I will wait until after my first trimester to start doing spin, step and body pump (that is only if and when I feel like it).
Thanks so much for all ya'll comments and support and prayers sent out to us. We really appreciate it. Stay tune for more!

I'm glad that the visit went well. I can't wait to read an update after the ultrasound...that's exciting! I'm sure your husband will come around, especially after that first ultrasound. Maybe then it will be a little more "real"! Just an FYI..I'll be reading your blog like crazy! You are such an encouragement to me, and considering all you've been through with trying to get pregnant, I'm so happy to see that it's finally happened for you! Oh, and I'm amazed that you want to start working out again even though you are prego...I can't get myself motivated just to walk much less think about working while pregnant! That's awesome though!
On another note, thank you for your encouraging words on my last blog. You are such a kind, sweet woman, and we definitely need to meet one day..soon! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Love you!
Randal will come around, he probably just doesn't know what to think right now!! That picture of that girl at the top of the page so looks like you ....lol
So happy for you, we are so glad everything went well and pray you continue to have a great pregnancy!
Randall is probably still in shock. I can imagine the news of becoming a daddy is pretty overwhelming. Thanks for your sweet comments about our engagement. We are thrilled!!!! He is going to make a wonderful husband and you are going to make a TERRIFIC mama. I am so happy for you. Hey guess what, we set a date and it is extremely close to your due date!!!!
I know you've been through a lot lately trying to push Randal to become excited. It may take him a little while to get to that point, but I have a good feeling that once he sees that little one on the screen and hears the heartbeat he'll be wrapped up.
Love you Mama B!
Congratulations again. I just can't say it enough.
Congratulations! Randall will come around. It takes them a while to feel a part of the process! You feel everything and they just have to sit back and watch. I can imagine that is hard on a man! Keep us updated!
I'm glad your visit went well. As I told you before, the men tend to get excited later on. He'll be just as excited as you when B-day gets here! I will continue to keep you in my prayers.
