Well, I"m back from the woods for a week of hard hunting. Which didn't pay off for me this year. Better luck the next few Saturdays that I have left until the season is over. Today was the best day ever in seeing the deer. I saw 3 eight points and 1 spike and 1 doe. Well I came home with none of them I say none of them. I missed three yes three. I missed the first one and the 3rd one. The second one I had some rifle issues and when I went to pull the trigger, it didn't so since I had problems. I didn't get that big 8 point that I had watched for 1 hour until I could get a shot. I am so disappointed, sick, disgusted and upset with myself. It was freezing cold and the wind was 30 miles an hour and I was miserable after all that and ready to call it a day. Randal took me to the shooting range this afternoon since I hadn't been practicing since last year. I didn't do that good. That might be some of my problem. Well now that I have gotten all that off my chest I will talk about something else. Sorry to bore ya'll but that it something I enjoy doing and just needed to vent. But last least I wasn't the only one that didn't kill anything , Randal didn't either but he has already had a good year if he doesn't kill another one.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and is having a Happy New Year. It is back to work for me tomorrow after 8 days. I'm not ready but I guess that doesn't matter. I'm ready to get back in the gym too. I bet I have gained 4 or 5 pounds. I will see in the morning when I weight. I might not have since we do alot of walking and it isn't just straight, it is hills and long walks to get to the tree stands/shooting houses.
