Well it has been a long stressful week for the Chappell family. First of all I would like to request the prayers for me and my husband Randal. He found a knot on his throat last week and I made him go to the doctor. It felt huge. He said it didn't hurt. He went to the doctor Tuesday and the doctor said that he thought it might be a cyst or maybe from an infection he had. They did blood work, put him on an antibotic and sent him for a Cat Scan on Wednesday. Since he works at the hosptial he has access to the report so Wenesday night he looked up the report and it said that he had enlarged limp node and a stone (sialolith stone) in his salvia gland. It was 5mm in size. The path report didn't show that it was cancereous. Thank the Lord! My brother-in-law is a doctor so my mother-in-law called him and asked him about it. He said that it is alot like gallstones and kidney stones except it would have to be surgically removed by an ENT surgeon because it wouldn't go away or dissolve. Randal doesn't go back to the doctor until next Tuesday, so we won't know anything else until then. Just say a prayer that all that needs to be done is have it removed.
On a good note, we got word from the people that we are purchasing land from that they have everything ready and the title is going to be ordered today so we should be able to close next week. This has been a long journey to get this land. Seems like these days everything we do is a journey.
It has been a stressful week at work too. I'm so glad that it is finally Friday. Randal is going to the hunting club to work until tomorrow evening. I'm going to play cards at mothers and tomorrow I'm going to exercise, go get my nails done and get some rest. We have a big day at church Sunday. We are have Polishing the Pulpit and are suppose to have several speakers and lots of guest. We are also have a fellowship meal after morning services. You know that is going to be some good eats. You can't get any better food then there.
Hope everyone had a good week. I guess I will have to go now it is almost card playing time. We haven't played in awhile and I'm looking forward to it. I love playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
